OMG! I have eaten biscuits and gravy all over the country and never, not hyperbole, had any better than these Simply were the best I have even had. Just happened to pick Smitty’s cause it was on the way out of Brenham towards Marble Falls, but the food gods smiled on me. My partner had an omelette with some of the best bacon I’ve had and YES, pay the extra for sausage in the gravy, you’ll thank me later.

Little staycation.. tried somewhere new on our drive to Brenham.. to is through the city. Came just as the local folks and visitors came for lunch. The outside is humble and unassuming.. once you get past them doors.. whole another world! Team members have smiles all round.. no matter how busy they are… food is made fresh to order… it’s worth the few extra minutes… while you wait there’s plenty to have a chuckle over .. local verbal cliches on the walls .. to the baked goods - cookies and pies to melt and drool over .. up to you if you have room after the meal you sat down to… irresistible selection of pies … most folks get a slice or two for the road. The fresh greens and fruit with homemade chicken salad- DELISH! Pork chop- Big hit with them skillet potatoes. Or try the CALLIE sandwich.. won’t be disappointed!Right not it’s so pretty with the wildflowers blooming.. need no better reason to stop by!Thank you for a lovely dining experience! Smitty’s is worth the trip!

Our group, the PiHeads visited on 19 Dec 2024. Although the entrance appears plain you will be surprised when you enter. Smitty's is one of those hidden Texas gems. Friendly and warm staff, unique interior, great food. Extra Kudos to the kitchen folks for the great tasting food. Don't leave without a slice of fresh pie or you'll be thinking about it when you get on the road again.

This was not what I expected from a former gas station. If you blink, you may miss it off 290.The breakfast was simply awesome. The sausage was flavorful and you could tell that it was handmade (it was irregularly shaped). The thick cut bacon paired perfectly with the eggs and hash browns. The biscuit was light and fluffy and was amazing with the pepper gravy.I’m coming back to try the rest of the menu!

Great customer service, and the food was delicious. Made from scratch bread and biscuits. The chicken was moist. And they have fried cheese curds. Will definitely be back!! Don't go too fast or you will miss it.

Was skeptical about going in at first being from out of town and a minority(not that it should matter). Hostess welcomed us in and waitress was spot on afterwards. Service was great, Food was fresh & delicious. Price was alot cheaper than expected for.a family of 3. Can't go wrong with the Lil Moma Pancake plate. Will definately return when in area again.

Sausage and gravy biscuits were deliciously perfect. My husband had the PB&J burger, and he loved it. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. All the staff seemed friendly. We will definitely be back!
